“We put the Apache through extreme conditions” – Steve Deboer, Firth, Nebraska We bought an Apache initially because we felt it would be less expensive to run and a lower cost to maintain than that of a hydrostat drive sprayer. We have had no problems with the drive train, and are confident that if a problem occurred we could fix it ourselves at a far less expense than that of a hydrostat. We aren't interested in the high cost of breakdowns and the downtime associated with hydrostats. Before we bought our first Apache we wanted to see how we would get along with the two-wheel drive. We put the Apache through extreme conditions, and were fully loaded. We drove through a 1/8-mile swamp of ripped up ground with standing water and didn't get stuck. Two-wheel drive has been no problem for us. We love the power shift transmission, suspension, and the comfort and visibility of the cab, and the booms have proven to be very well built and durable. |
